Hangin' at the Roost

 Sounds like mom's puking again!

This came from the 6yo the other day. No concern, just a matter of fact comment. But, I prefer this to what the 3yo does. She followed me into the restroom at The Container Store the other day. I wasn't in a position to argue, I just wanted to get there fast. Pronto. Immediately. As I'm doing my thing over the toilet, she stands to the side, makes puking noises and spits on my hand! Earlier, at Pokejos (a yummy BBQ place), she loudly announced that she needed to go to the bathroom to puke. The people in the near tables all turned around in fear. I informed her that SHE isn't pregnant but she can go to the bathroom to pee if she likes. There seemed to be a sigh of relief from those nearby.

Then there is my loving husband. He makes sure to inform me that it's disgusting. As I'm using my puke cup in the car he tells me "Please stop doing that. It's really gross!" He thinks he's funny. I'm not amused. He has never brought me a washcloth for my face or even entered the room while I'm in there. He did clean the bathroom the other day though. So at least I don't have to look at anything gross while I'm in there. And he hasn't complained much about taking up the slack with the dishes I'm too tired and sick to do and the clothes he ends up washing when he runs out of what he needs. And he's picked up fast food to match my cravings on his way home from work instead of making the Hamburger Helpers I have loaded up on for him to make. (The kids are so excited with these, its like a huge treat)

They really need to make shirts for 1st trimester pregnant ladies with sayings like "Get out of my way, I need to puke!" Or maybe something classier like "If you don't want chunks, move it punks!". How about "If I'm looking green, its 'cause I'm cooking a bean!" Hmm, that one doesn't flow too well.

Maybe, for those lucky ladies that don't get morning sick or those that don't want to advertise the fact, we could have shirts like "Baby incubating, keep me chocolating!" (Can you tell I'm really not that good at this?)

I'm really trying to keep my sense of humor about this. I was sicker with my first two, and it took a few years of trying to get this way. Want to help me with the slogans?

 My First Blog Post

This isn't my first blog but my other was so hard to edit it stopped at 2 or 3 posts. I will try to do better at keeping this one updated.

I am a mom of 2 with one on the way. The one on the way is only making me sick right now. I'm at the point where I don't look remotely pregnant and am losing weight rather then gaining it. I call the little one Baby Blip but plan on moving up to Pumpkinbutt when it's larger. It's due November 4 so I think that's fitting. Also my endearment for the other 2 are Turkeybutt and Chickenbutt. I'm such a great mom!

I homeschool secularly. This means that I'm not one of those that tries to keep her kids from other religions or "immoral" people. I homeschool because I think I can provide a better learning experience then the local schools, especially under the influence of NCLB. I also like having my kids around. Well, most of the time. There are times I want to run out the door screaming, but doesn't everyone have those moments? Please say yes.

I am agnostic but a cultural Christian. So I celebrate all the Christian holidays and basically act like I am one despite a more scientific "belief" system.

I am a Democrat officially but my ideal platform is closer to the Green Party. So I'm pretty liberal. My husband is a pretty staunch Republican so I can get along with both fairly well, as long as politics doesn't come up. I get pretty emotional about it.
